Description
Flamboyant (1985 - 1990) was a national black migrant women's center, and functioned as a meeting center of ZMV women (zwarte/migrantenvrouwen). The center's objective was to encourage exchange of knowledge, information and experiences of and among all black/migrant women in the Netherlands. Flamboyant set up a library and documentation center, and organized study days, lectures and cultural meetings. This bibliography is part 1 of an initiative they set up with the aim to collective, publish and show the wide range of publications by and about black women. This edition specifically focuses on literary publications and about a third of the collection has a specific focus on black women in the Netherlands. Most of the information covered is supplied by black women.
